SBDE Partner Gregory L. Bentley Appointed President of Consumer Attorneys of Inland Empire

SBDE Partner, Gregory L. Bentley, is leading a team of dedicated trial lawyers in an effort to revive the Consumer Attorneys of Inland Empire (CAOIE), the once-prominent local chapter of the Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Bentley has been appointed president of the organization.

The CAOIE is a group of Inland Empire trial lawyers dedicated to protecting consumer rights. Under Mr. Bentley's guidance, the CAOIE will provide local lawyers with assistance and support in the fight against powerful interest groups. The CAOIE will also provide a strong and unified voice at the state capital - ensuring that legislation reflects the best interests of the consumer. As president of CAOIE, Mr. Bentley has also been appointed to the Riverside Civil Bench Bar Committee, where he will enable consumer attorneys to better communicate with local courts.

Under Mr. Bentley's leadership, the CAOIE held a successful educational seminar at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario in June. The event featured guest speaker William Shernoff, who discussed "Litigating Rescission Cases." The Honorable James C. McGuire, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino and the Honorable Thomas H. Cahraman, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside also spoke about "State of the Bench" for each county, respectively. The event was attended by many prominent attorneys and judges, including the presiding judges for both the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
